Training Materials Developer and Technical Training Consultant

Qualifications and Experience

 

·         Tertiary Degree or Diploma - advantageous

·         Training experience in mobile telecommunications

·         Linux knowledge

 

Key Performance Areas

 

Handling of all aspects of Customer Training including:

 

·         Identifying the training needs of customers

·         Scheduling of training as requested by customers

·         Determining detailed training requirements as ordered by customers (including identifying required content, assigning of training presenter, assigning of technical SME to assist, planned duration, timelines etc.)

·         Assessment of success of customer training following presentation

·         Proposed changes and improvements to training materials following assessment

 

Development of high quality training materials following PADDI principles, including

 

·         Design and analysis of required training materials identified as per customer requirements, and / or product pack specifications

·         Development of the training materials, including presentation material, training manuals, exercise booklets, flash cards etc.

·         Ensuring appropriate review of training materials before presentation (ensuring they meet requirements and quality standards)

·         Storing of training materials on documentation management system as complete, and ready for presentation

·         Improvements to training packages following initial training presentation, considering

·         Proposed changes as identified following review and assessment phase

·         Version control of training packages

 

Delivery of customer training, involving

 

·         Studying and understanding the training materials

·         Preparing for training presentation (in conjunction with Ops SMEs)

·         Delivery of customer training on site or in client facilities

 

Handling most aspects of the organization and administration of internal (staff) training, including

 

·         Identifying internal training needs

·         Determining detailed training requirements as requested by client managers

·         Checking budget availability and required budget approvals for requested internal training

·         Reviewing with relevant managers the suitability of available courses to their needs and selection of provider with their approval

·         Scheduling of internal training courses (whether prepared by internal resources or outside training companies)

·         Assessment of success of internal training following presentation

·         Decisions regarding future use of provider or specific trainers, or proposed changes and improvements to training organized internally, following assessment

·         Tracking the training attendance of the company’s employees, and keeping a database of details of vendors offering courses, course content details, feedback regarding courses and trainers etc.

 

Remuneration

 

Market related depending on qualification and experience.
